The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) has announced a comprehensive nationwide voter registration blitz specifically targeting citizens aged 18 to 25 who have recently become eligible to vote.

Mobile registration teams will be deployed across tertiary institutions, shopping malls, and community centers over the next six weeks to ensure accessible registration for first-time voters. The initiative is part of a broader civic education campaign designed to promote youth participation in democratic governance.

Political parties across the divide have endorsed the drive, mobilizing their respective youth wings to assist first-time voters in acquiring the necessary national identification documents required for registration.
